सैंथिया में आज देर रात हुए रेल हादसे ने एक बार फिर रेल सफर की सुरक्षा पर सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं। पश्चिम बंगाल में पिछले दो महीने में हुआ यह दूसरा बड़ा रेल हादसा है। रेल मंत्री को तो इस हादसे में सजिश तक की बू आ रही है। लेकिन हमारे देश में रेल सफर कभी सुरक्षित नहीं रहा है। आइये नजर डालते हैं पिछले एक दशक में हुए देश के बड़े रेल हादसों पर



22 जून 2001: केरल के कोझिकोड के पास मंगलोर चेन्नई मेल कदालुंदी नदी में गिरी। इस हादसे में 40 लोग मारे गये।



5 जनवरी 2002: महाराष्ट्र में घातनादुर स्टेशन पर खड़ी एक मालगाड़ी को सिकंदराबाद मनमाड एक्सप्रेस ने टक्कर मारी जिससे 21 लोग मारे गये और 41 घायल हो गये।



23 मार्च 2002: मध्य प्रदेश में नरसिंहपुर के पास पटना से मुंबई जा रही लोकमान्य तिलक सुपरफास्ट एक्सप्रेस की 13 बोगियां पटरी से उतरी. इस हादसे में सात घायल हुए.



12 मई 2002: उत्तर प्रदेश में जौनपुर में नयी दिल्ली पटना श्रमजीवी एक्सप्रेस पटरी से उतरी, 12 यात्री मारे गये।



4 जून 2002: कासगंज एक्सप्रेस ने रेल क्रासिंग पर एक बस के टक्कर मारी, 34 लोग मारे गये।



9 सितंबर 2002: बिहार के औरंगाबाद जिले में हावड़ा दिल्ली राजधानी एक्सप्रेस की एक बोगी धावे नदी में गिरी जिससे 100 यात्री मारे गये और 150 घायल हुए।



10 सितंबर 2002: बिहार में कोलकाता नयी दिल्ली राजधानी एक्सप्रेस एक पुल के उपर पटरी से उतरी जिससे 120 लोग मारे गये.



22 जून 2003: महाराष्ट्र के सिंधुदुर्ग जिले में वैभववाड़ी स्टेशन को पार करने के बाद कारवार मुंबई सेंट्रल हालीडे स्पेशल ट्रेन पटरी से उतरी, 53 लोग मारे गये और 25 घायल।



2 जुलाई 2003: आंध्र प्रदेश के वारंगल में एक ट्रेन का इंजन और उससे लगी दो बोगियां पुल से गिरी। हादसे में 18 लोग मरे।



3 दिसंबर 2003: पंजाब के सराय बंजारा और साधुगढ़ के बीच पटरी से उतरी मालगाड़ी को हावड़ा अमृतसर मेल ने टक्कर मारी इस भीषण दुर्घटना में 46 मारे गये और 130 से अधिक घायल हुए।



27 फरवरी 2004: पश्चिम बंगाल के दिनाजपुर में मानवरहित लेवल क्रासिंग पर गुवाहाटी जानेवाली कंचनजंगा एक्सप्रेस ने ट्रक को टक्कर मारी जिससे 30 लोग मारे गये।



15 दिसंबर 2004: पंजाब के जालंधर से करीब 40 किलोमीटर दूर अहमदाबाद जाने वाली जम्मू तवी एक्सप्रेस एक लोकल ट्रेन से सामने से टकरा गई। इस हादसे में 11 महिलाओं सहित 34 लोग मारे गये और 50 घायल हुए।



9 नवंबर, 2006: पश्चिम बंगाल रेल दुर्घटना में 40 लोगों की मौत, 15 घायल।



1 दिसंबर, 2006: बिहार के भागलपुर जिले में 150 साल पुराने पुल को तोड़ते समय एक हिस्सा ट्रेन पर गिरने से 35 लोगों की मौत हो गयी जबकि 17 घायल हो गये।



14 नवंबर, 2009: दिल्ली जा रही मंडोर एक्सप्रेस जयपुर के निकट बस्सी में पटरी से उतर गयी जिसका कुछ हिस्सा एसी बोगी में जा घुसा। दुर्घटना में सात लोगों की मौत हो गयी जबकि 60 से अधिक घायल हो गये।



21 अक्तूबर 2009: उत्तर प्रदेश में उत्तर रेलवे के मथुरा वृंदावन सेक्शन पर वंजारा में गोवा एक्सप्रेस ने मेवाड़ एक्सप्रेस को टक्कर मार दी जिससे 22 लोगों की मौत हो गयी जबकि 26 अन्य घायल हो गये।



2 जनवरी 2010: घने कोहरे के कारण उत्तर प्रदेश में तीन ट्रेन दुर्घटनाओं में 15 लोगों की मौत हो गयी।



16 जनवरी2010: उत्तर प्रदेश में घने कोहरे के कारण कालिंदी एक्सप्रेस और श्रमशक्ति एक्सप्रेस की टक्कर में तीन लोगों की मौत हो गयी जबकि लगभग 12 अन्य घायल हो गये।



28 मई, 2010: पटरी से उतरी ज्ञानेश्वरी एक्सप्रेस को मालगाड़ी ने टक्कर मारी। इस हादसे में कम से कम 148 लोगों की मृत्यु हो गयी। इस हादसे को नक्सलियों का हमला माना गया था।

यात्रियों को जल्द ही रेलवे स्टेशनों पर मोबाइल फोन के रीचार्ज कूपन खरीदने की सहूलियत मिल जाएगी. रेलवे ने स्टेशनों पर फोन बूथ आपरेटरों को मोबाइल रीचार्ज कूपन बेचने की अनुमति देने का निर्णय किया है.

रेलवे के एक अधिकारी ने कहा, ‘‘ मामले की समीक्षा की गयी और रेलवे ने स्टेशनों पर एसटीडी.पीसीओ बूथ में रीचार्ज कूपन बेचने की अनुमति देने का निर्णय किया है.’’

उन्होंने कहा कि देश में सभी प्रमुख एवं छोटे स्टेशनों में बूथ आपरेटर कूपनों की बिक्री कर सकेंगे. अभी तक यह सुविधा उपलब्ध नहीं थी. हालांकि बूथ आपरेटरों को सेवा प्रदाताओं :मोबाइल सेवा कंपनियों: के ब्रांड प्रदर्शित करने की अनुमति नहीं होगी.

बूथ आपरेटर अपने बूथ पर केवल सांकेतिक बोर्ड लगा सकेंगे जिस पर लिखा होगा ‘ मोबाइल फोन के लिए रीचार्ज कूपन उपलब्ध हैं.’’ देशभर में रेलवे स्टेशनों पर करीब 2000 पीसीओ,एसटीडी बूथ हैं.

Railways mulling timing change for tatkal, normal bookings

NEW DELHI: To reduce heavy rush for e-tickets during morning hours that often leads to slowing up of the IRCTC website, the Railways are mulling two separate timings for opening of tatkal and normal bookings.

If implemented the move would considerably reduce traffic volume on IRCTC website providing e-tickets, thereby enabling quick access to the site, which sells 30 per cent of all rail tickets, an IRCTC official said.

The idea is to shift the opening of tatkal bookings to 10 am instead of 8 am. “Though it is still in the thinking process, we hope the change of timings will considerably reduce pressure on IRCTC portal,” he said.

The official said there is a significant rise in traffic in IRCTC website when bookings for advance reservation period and tatkal tickets open at 8 am. “This could be a reason why passengers are unable to open the site during this period.”

The move, however, could face several hurdles as Railways would then have to suitably change timings of tatkal bookings over the reservation counters. Railways, though, have recently adopted several changes in its reservation system to make it more user- friendly and help individuals. IRCTC is also planning major up gradation of its server for enhanced speed, the official said.

पश्चिम बंगाल के बीरभूम में सैंथिया स्टेशन पर आज तड़के सियालदह जाने वाली उत्तरबंग एक्सप्रेस ने वनांचल एक्सप्रेस के पिछले हिस्से में टक्कर मार दी जिससे करीब 55 यात्रियों के मारे जाने और 150 से अधिक के घायल होने की आशंका है.

कोलकाता में पूर्वी रेलवे सूत्रों ने कहा कि हादसे में वनांचल एक्सप्रेस के 55 यात्री मारे गये हैं. तेज गति से आ रही उत्तरबंग एक्सप्रेस ने सिग्नल को नजरंदाज करते हुए वनांचल एक्सप्रेस को टक्कर मार दी.

सूत्रों ने कहा कि मृतकों में 39 पुरुष, आठ महिलाएं और दो बच्चे शामिल हैं. वनांचल एक्सप्रेस अपने निर्धारित समय से पांच घंटा देरी से चल रही थी.

अधिकारियों को आशंका है कि मृतकों की संख्या बढ़ सकती है क्योंकि वनांचल एक्सप्रेस के तीन कोच, दो अनारक्षित डिब्बे और एक लगेज वैन बुरी तरह क्षतिग्रस्त हैं. कुछ क्षतिग्रस्त कोच तो फुट ओवरब्रिज के करीब पहुंच गये हैं. जीआरपी सूत्रों ने कहा कि 150 यात्री घायल हुए हैं. बहरहाल पुलिस अधीक्षक हुमायूं कबीर ने कहा कि 130 यात्री घायल हुए हैं.

रेल मंत्रालय सूत्रों ने बताया कि पूर्वी रेलवे के संरक्षा आयुक्त आरपी यादव हादसे की जांच करेंगे. सैंथिया स्टेशन कोलकाता से करीब 191 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित है. पूर्वी रेलवे सूत्रों ने कहा कि दुर्घटना तड़के 1.54 बजे हुई जब न्यू कूचबिहार सियालदह उत्तरबंग एक्सप्रेस ने उसी ट्रैक पर भागलपुर रांची वनांचल एक्सप्रेस को पीछे से टक्कर मार दी जो सैंथिया स्टेशन से प्लेटफार्म संख्या चार से रवाना हो रही थी.

Dehri-on-Sone (Bihar), Jul 11 (PTI) A man was today arrested from a hotel here for allegedly duping lakhs of rupees from railway job seekers.

A police team raided a hotel at Pali road and arrested Ram Pravesh, a native of Palamu district in Jharkhand, for duping lakhs of rupees from people seeking jobs in Railways and the Delhi metro, Superintendent of Police Rohtas, Vikas Vaibhav told reporters.

After interrogating him, the cops raided another hotel from where a haul of fake railway documents was seized.

A manhunt has been launched to nab the other members of the gang, Vaibhav said, adding a case of fraud and cheating has been registered against the arrested man.

Here i am explain my experience regarding tatkal booking on PRS.
Before a month 1 person called me for tatkal booking in 9047 ST to PNBE but i failed in to booking e ticket in tatkal quota through IRCTC. Next day he went to PRS for tatkal booking. He stands in que at 17:00 hrs for next tatkal opening and gentleman you don't believe he was on 11th no at 17:00 hrs on next day booking. (There is 12 window at Surat Station's PRS)
Next day i call & ask him about his booking then i was shocked. He didn't get any waiting ticket in tatkal quota. He told me that there are some special person who taking 100 rs to stand in que for full night & at 07:00 hrs there was main touts comes & take a charge for que.
So now you can calculate which system will be closed.
